ALdia project presented in Indonesia

 


ALdia project presentation in Jogyakarta.

Within the framework of the ALdia Project dissemination activities, this innovative training and accreditation methodology on disability and inclusion practices in Higher Education and VET institutions was presented in Jogyakarta (Indonesia), taking advantadge of the celebration of the International Conference of the INDOEDUC4ALL project in this country.

The audience was integrated by the project members of the INDOEDUC4ALL project, but also by representatives from civil society organizations, government delegates and other members of the academic community, who praised the scope of the research conducted by ALdia. Moreover, they showed their interest in the innovative approach of ALdia, which has devised a Massive Open Online Course on disability and inclusive education, specially adapted to equip lecturers and teachers with the necessary skillset to teach students with disabilities. As such, they expressed their appreciation of the linkage and interaction of these initiatives, breeding synergies, which foster cooperation and allow for mutual learning among the organizations and individuals working on inclusion for persons with disabilities.

Last week representatives from universities in Europe and Indonesia met in Graz, Austria, to kick-off the Erasmus+ project INSPIRE  (Introducing Social Entrepreneurship in Indonesian Higher Education), coordinated by FH JOANNEUM University and in which the University of Alicante is a partner as leader of the Exploration & Knowledge Transfer and the Quality Assurance work packages. The UA was represented by OGPI senior project manager Noelia López and by Institutional Entrepreneurship & Employability Programme manager Víctor Climent. 

The aim of the INSPIRE project is to promote the entrepreneurial mindset and innovation in Indonesian Higher Education Institutions by strengthening the University-Business cooperation for better employability of social entrepreneurs and increase their relevance for labour market and society.

4th Training Workshop on 'Exploitation and Commercialisation: Research Evaluation and spin-off Creation'

The 4th Training Workshop on 'Exploitation and Commercialisation: Research Evaluation and spin-off Creation' took place on the 25-26th of October, 2017 at Can Tho University (CTU), Can Tho city Vietnam. The workshop, delivered by SlovenkÁ TechinickÁ Univerzita V Bratislave (STUBA), was co-organised by CTU and the University of Alicante (UA), coordinator of the ENHANCE project. There were 56 participants involved from 3 EU & 6 Vietnamese Universities. The training was also attended by representatives of 2 Ministries: MOST & MOET. 

Next day, the 27th of October, the 2nd Round table was hosted by CTU. It brought together managers and researchers from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Research Institutes, Science and Technology (S&T) authorities, representatives from the private sector and relevant stakeholders in Vietnam to exchange ideas on promoting research applications via university spin-offs.

Following the Round table, an ENHANCE Coordination meeting was held in which GCU presented the workplan for Replication Trainings Workshops & on-line trainings and HCM-USSH introduced the draft of MoU for the ENHANCE network establishment.

The next workshop will take place in March 2018 at Thai Nguyen City and will be hosted by Thai Nguyen University.
 

Workshop on 'International Project Management' in the University of Alicante

 


Welcome to the workshop attendees.

Last November 6th we welcomed at the University of Alicante the students participating in the Training Workshop on 'International Project Management', which was organized for the second year by the International Project Management Office.

The course was divided in three modules, last one week and offers the necessary training to apply for the new Eramus + KA2 program (Erasmus + Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education).
The University of Alicante has been a leader in the Tempus Program of the European Union (previous program to K2) and has extensive experience in coordination and participation in Capacity Building projects in the field of Higher Education. Currently, the University of Alicante coordinates 7 ERASMUS + projects and participates in 11 as a partner. The objective of this training is to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to design competitive projects and provide tools for a successful management.

PROMIG Consortium meeting in Tbilisi

The Consortium Meeting of the PROMIG project took place on 25th -26th October 2017 in the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) campus and was hosted by the same partner institution as project coordinator.

During the meeting, the partner institutions participating had the opportunity of learning about the curricula development and progress to stablish a MCC in Tabesh University (TIHE) from Afghanistan. The participants were also informed of the needs assessment conducted by the University of Alicante (UA) regarding the training modules for Students, Government Officials and Representatives of CSOs. The partners discussed the aspects related to these issues and agreed on the next steps to proceed for further developments in the project.

This Consortium Meeting was held within the framework of WP 2. Development of MA Programs in Migration Studies, WP 3. Establishment of Migration Competence Center, WP 4. Elaboration of Training Modules and WP 6. Quality Plan of the PROMIG project.
